Fruit ripening time: January - February

An early apple with a very memorable, sweet-honey flavour. In many ways, the look and flavour of Sweetman are reminiscent of a good Golden Delicious, a taste that won’t disappoint.

A medium sized apple. The skin is a green-yellow with a slight red blush on the sunny side. The flesh is a creamy white, very crisp and juicy. Best enjoyed freshly picked at their peak.

Will produce heavy crops.

Uses: Excellent fresh eating apple. Good for juicing and drying. As with most early apples, the storage time is fairly short.

Pollinators: Belle Cacheuse, Bulmer’s Norman, Cox’s Orange Pippin, Cripps Pink, Fuji, Gala, Granny Smith, Jonathan, Kingston Black, Lady in the Snow, Sundowner, early white flowering Crabapples, especially Manchurian Crabapple.
