Malus ‘Tommy’
Masses of deep wine-red flowers open in Spring. Young branches can be so heavy with flowers that they droop, giving the tree a gentle weeping effect.
Flowers are followed by small sized purple fruit.
New foliage growth is purple, turning to dark green in Summer.
A small size, and very showy deciduous tree, with a globe shaped crown.
Tree Size:
Dwarf: Can be kept to 1.5 m high, but must be supported with a stake
Semi-dwarfing: Height approximately 3 m x 3 m wide
Prefers a moist, well drained, fertile soil and full sun for optimum flowering.
Crabapples are self-fertile
